The strength of the ODE model lies in its strategic integration. As Botswana’s leading wholesale and retail trading business, Trans requires well-located, purpose-built facilities across the country. Allied Investments develops, owns and manages these assets, securing long-term lease agreements that provide stable, predictable and inflation-linked rental income.
Similarly, Allied’s hospitality assets are leased to ODE Hospitality on commercial, arm’s-length terms, creating additional recurring income streams supported by established operating businesses.
The result is a uniquely balanced portfolio. A substantial portion of rental income is derived from long-term leases with ODE Group operating companies, providing a resilient and dependable income foundation. This is complemented by a diversified base of third-party tenants occupying Allied’s retail centres, commercial properties and residential developments.
Today, approximately 52.6% of rental income is generated from ODE Group tenants and 47.4% from external tenants, creating a blend of income certainty, diversification and growth potential that underpins Allied Investments’ long-term value proposition.
